Last night at the Launch Fashion event, five designers showcased their lines: Michael Costello, Seth Aaron, Gordana Gehlhausen, Furne One and Ashon Sylvester. I had the pleasure of walking for Michael, Seth and Gordana‘s line (of Project Runway) All of the garments from every collection were amazing!

There was some downtime before the show while everyone and everything were getting ready, so I chatted with each of what their inspirations were for their collection. I liked that Gordana spoke that it’s not necessarily inspiration, but rather a ‘just do it’ attitude. Her pieces were mesmerizing, elegant with a twist of funk. Seth was inspired by white, but rather a whole collection of a neutral color, he opted for textured creams and later adding a splash of plum. Very sophisticated and ready to wear pieces. I admired his originality, cutting red lips (from tape) for each of the 12 models and adhering to the necks. It’s easy to notice when you’re in the presence of a professional. I didn’t get a chance to have a brief second with Michael, however browsing his collection lined with tastefully colorful and light-catching sheer fabrics. Feminine with an edge.

For hair and makeup, high pony tails and buns and a smokey dark eye with nude lips. J’adore! Marci and the team from Muse salon were on-point at every moment. I have worked with Marci before and her touch + eye for detail is beyond perfection. She makes styling hair so effortless! Backstage was suffocated with a mist-turning-thunderstorm-cloud… kidding, it was just hairspray.
